To provide working families and individuals who are experiencing an unexpected/emergency financial and/or emotional crisis. 

Our clients are those members of of the community who are employed full time and are currently struggling after all basic needs are met.

Income guidelines apply, please email us for more information.

We are an IRS tax Exempt registered 501 (c)(3).

We are currently looking for in-kind donations for: Siding Repair, Tires/General Car Repairs. We are currently accepting donations of gift cards for: Gas (any station) in $25 increments Food (prefer Aldi's) in increments of $50.

Who We Help

All full-time working adults whose income is 133%-250% of the federal poverty level, experiencing an uncontrolled economic hardship and:

     Must have full time job

     Must be at least 18 years old

     Live or Work in Polk County, IA

     Must be willing to attend Financial Freedom Classes

Volunteer Opportunities Available


Do you have business that provides services to the community? Are you willing to donate those services to our organization to help our clients?

Finance Committee

The Finance committee is an advisiory volunteer committee that is responsible for oversight of the financial health and future of the organization. Their responsibilites will be to help the Board of Directors and the Executive Director create and operate within the budget and esure that all fiduciary responsibilities are met. 

Fundraising Committee

The fundraising committee is a volunteer working committee whose primary role is to help the Fundraising Coordinator plan and execute fundrasiers. 


Fundraising Coordinator is a volunteer, home based position that will work closely with the Exective Director and Board of Directors to budget, plan and execute all fundraising activities,


The Board of Directors is responsible for the organization as a whole. Each board member is responsible for and required to (not a complete list of responsibilites):

    Assist the Executive Director in recruiting new members

    Assist the Executive Director in identifying potentail donors and partners

    Ensure the organziation is meeting all of its legal obligations

     Contribute to the financial health of the organization.
